Mechanic Type C Entry Level Mechanic

The Mechanic C is an entry level technician responsible for assisting in maintenance and repair of company equipment under direct supervision. This role focuses on learning executing basic mechanic task and supporting higher-level mechanics.

• Oil and filter changes
• Fluid checks and top -offs
• Tire inspections rotation repairs and replacement
• Lubrication of components

Basic Repairs

Lights alarms fuses and switches

Shop Support

• Clean and organize work areas
• Clean body from Asphalt FC5 using excavator
• Watch yard during shift

• Diesel Mechanic Technical School Certificate or Diploma (required)
• Basic Mechanical Knowledge

Work Schedule

• Typical schedule: Tuesday to Saturday approximately 9:00 am to 7:00 pm

• Ability to lift up to 50 -75 lbs pounds regularly
• Ability to stand walk bend kneel and climb for extended periods
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions including heat and rain
• Ability to safely use hand tools power tools and shop equipment
• Ability to work in dusty noisy and physically demanding environments
• Ability to enter and exit trucks and heavy equipment safely
• Ability to perform repetitive physical tasks throughout the shift
• Good vision and hearing for safety and equipment inspections
• Ability to work day night weekends and overtime as needed.
