Position Summary
Conduct repairs preventive maintenanceservicecontinuous additionprovidesemergency/unscheduled repairs of production for ensuring a safe workplace while producing a quality product.
Essential Functions
Reassemble machines pumps motors the completion of repair or maintenance work.
Start machines pumps motors operation todetermineefficiency and detect problems.
Inspect or test damaged machineparts andmark defective areas oradvisesupervisors of repair needs.
Performs preventative maintenance on equipment following a predictive maintenancemethodology
Lubricate machines machine parts or other equipment according to specified procedures
Ability to effectively troubleshoot and perform root cause analysis tomaintainproduction standards
Collaborate with cross functional colleagues
Install replace or change machine parts and attachments according to production specifications.
Dismantle machines and remove parts for repairusing hand tools chain falls jacks cranes or hoists.
Record production repair and machine maintenance information.
Read work orders and specifications todeterminemachines and equipment requiring repair or maintenance.
Set up andoperatemachines andadjust controls to regulate operations.
Understand change management and how itimpactsqualification/validation
Ensure equipment specific safety devices aremaintained.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Follow all EPC Safety/Environmental GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and Lean 5S policies and regulationguidelines.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Skills and Experience
Twoyearstechnical training orpreviouswork-related skill knowledge in packaging/production environment.
Exposure tohigh-speedequipment.
Experience installing and disconnectingvarious servicessuch as air gas water steamdrainand vacuum lines.
Experience working with electric conduits of various voltages.
Basic math and computer skills
Ability to multi-task
Ability to read and understand technical drawings and manuals
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to see a complex task or projectthrough tocompletion.
Ability to follow detailed instructions and be detailed oriented.
Ability to work across functions
Strong organizational skills
Ability to lift 50lbs withoutassistance.
Preferred Skills and Experience
High school diploma or GEDrequiredfrom an accredited institution.
Hands-on PLC andcontrolsexperience.
Some liquid filling/compounding experience.
Work Environment
Ability to work a 10 hour shift standing bending and reaching
Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled environment (may be above 30 ambient degrees or below 20 ambient degrees in areas of production)
Maintaining a safe and clean work environment which would include sweeping and cleaning up as you go
Flexibility to work weekends and overtime
