Job Summary
The Meat Cutter is responsible for cutting trimming and preparing various meat products according to company standards and customer specifications. This role requires attention to detail proper handling of equipment and adherence to all food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure high-quality products are consistently delivered.
Cut trim bone and portion meat products (beef pork poultry etc.) according to specified weights sizes and quality standards.
Operate knives saws grinders and other meat-cutting tools safely and efficiently.
Inspect meat products for quality and freshness removing any that do not meet standards.
Package label and store finished meat products properly to maintain freshness and traceability.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area tools and equipment.
Follow all food safety sanitation and workplace safety procedures.
Assist with inventory rotation and stock replenishment as needed.
Work collaboratively with team members to meet production and customer order deadlines.

Prior experience as a meat cutter butcher or in food processing preferred but not required (training available). Ability to use knives and cutting tools safely and precisely. Knowledge of proper food handling and sanitation practices. Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs. Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a cold or refrigerated environment. Dependable team-oriented and able to follow verbal and written instructions.
