MD Grade 1 Certified Boiler Plant Operator

The Boiler Plant Operator runs maintains and repairs large steam-generating boilers and auxiliary equipment at the CMI customer site in Beltsville MD.

Key Job Functions

• Interpret gauges meters and computerized control systems to track steam pressure water levels and combustion efficiency.
• Perform preventative maintenancesuch as replacing valves and gasketsand conduct repairs to keep equipment from corroding or malfunctioning.
• Sample and test boiler water adjusting chemical treatments as needed to prevent rust and scaling.
• Conduct diagnostic tests maintain detailed operational logs and follow strict environmental and safety regulations.
• Performs other related duties as required

Qualifications :

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Must have at least 5 years of experience of operating boiler plants and at least 2 years operating boiler plants as MD Grade 1 Stationary Engineer
• Must be licensed as Maryland (MD) Stationary Engineer Grade 1 - 500 or more horsepower (in any building)
• Must submit license(s) with resume
• Must possess mechanical inclination and the physical ability to work in demanding environments (bending lifting climbing)
• Must be able to fluently read write speak and understand the English language
• Must be able to pass a government background check
