Job Overview
The College of Business Administration is seeking Graduate Assistantsfor the 2026-2027 academic year to support faculty instruction in a select group of MBA courses. This is a part-time temporary position with a maximum of 20 hours per week open only to CSUSM graduate students in the SMBA or FEMBA programs who have successfully completed the course(s) for which they are applying to work should not take precedence over the successful completion of the graduate degree program by the student in a timely manner.First-year students are ineligible to apply.
Potential course assignments include SMBA courses (BA 602 MGMT 604 ACCT 601 FIN 601 MKTG 602 OM 602 MGMT 606) and FEMBA courses (BA 611 BA 626 and BA 630).
Graduate Assistants will be placed in a course where they have relevant academic or professional experience. Final course placements are subject to faculty need and enrollment.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Assist faculty in the classroom for assigned course(s) including administering exams
- Support instruction of students including grading review sessions and helping with course materials
- Conduct one-on-one or group tutoring
- Supervise labs or workshops (if applicable to the course)
- Respond to student questions related to assigned course content
General Requirements of the Position:
- Bachelors degree
- Current registration in a CSUSM MBA Degree Program
- Relevant academic or professional experience in at least one of the listed courses
- Knowledge of the subject matter related to assigned course(s)
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in an academic environment
- Ability to assist faculty with research or class-related projects

Anticipated Pay Rate
- Anticipated Hiring Salary Range: $3408-$6072 Monthly
The anticipated hiring range is generally at or near the minimum of the appropriate range commensurate with education and experience.
Graduate Assistants are non-exempt employees. CSU policy limits work assignments to no more than 20 hours in a week in all campus positions combined while students are in session.
