Position: Mathematics Teacher ï½ Secondary
Location: Mountain View Middle School
Status: Full-Time Permanent Professional Position
Start Date: 2026ï½2027 School Year (or as determined by the District)
New Teacher Induction: August 20 2026 - August 26 2026

Description:
The Cumberland Valley School District is seeking a highly qualified and student-centered Mathematics Teacher for Mountain View Middle School. The successful candidate will deliver rigorous standards-aligned instruction that supports student achievement and fosters critical thinking problem solving and mathematical reasoning. This position requires a commitment to collaboration continuous professional growth and meeting the diverse learning needs of all students.

Responsibilities Include:

• Planning and delivering effective mathematics instruction aligned to Pennsylvania Academic Standards
• Utilizing data-informed instructional practices and formative assessment to support student learning
• Creating a positive inclusive classroom environment that promotes engagement and high expectations
• Collaborating with colleagues in professional learning communities (PLCs)
• Integrating instructional technology and best practices in mathematics education
• Communicating effectively with students parents and staff
• Participating in professional development and school-based initiatives

Qualifications:

• Valid Pennsylvania Instructional Certificate in Mathematics (7ï½12 required)
• Strong content knowledge and instructional skills in secondary mathematics
• Experience differentiating instruction to meet diverse learner needs
• Ability to work collaboratively with faculty and staff
• Excellent communication and organizational skills

• Experience with standards-based grading data analysis or instructional technology is preferred
