Math Teacher CTE Credential Eligibility

Work Year: 185 days

The William S. Hart Union High School District is seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Classroom Teacher to join our team. The Classroom Teacher will be responsible for developing and implementing lesson plans providing instruction assessing student performance and maintaining a positive and engaging learning environment.

Duties:

• Develop and implement lesson plans in accordance with state and district standards
• Provide instruction to students in a variety of subjects
• Assess and evaluate student performance providing feedback to students and parents as necessary
• Maintain a positive and engaging learning environment that fosters student growth and success
• Participate in professional development activities to enhance teaching skills and stay current with best practices
• Communicate effectively with students parents and colleagues
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student progress and attendance

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree
• Valid California teaching credential in Math
• Eligible to obtain a CTE credential in one of the following preferred sectors: Education Child Development and Family Services; Engineering and Architecture; Information and Communication Technology; or Arts Media and Entertainment
• EL/CLAD authorization required
• Demonstrated knowledge of subject matter and effective instructional practices
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively with students parents and colleagues
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and growth
