Salary Range:$51181.58 - $95726.51Hours per week:1.0 FTE

General Statement:

  • Provide support to student achievement in the area of Math with specific focus on instructional and mentoring practices. This includes maintaining a positive learning environment where all students are encouraged to participate ask questions and generally receive the individual attention they deserve to effectively learn the material in a lesson plan.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide small group and individual Math intervention to students identified as needing tier supports.
  • Use data to design lessons that differentiate instruction for students needs.
  • Provide support by using research based strategies and lessons to support student learning through print and web based supports.
  • Use Aimsweb progress monitoring Math AddVantage assessments and other measures to assess student progress and modify interventions.
  • Collaborate with content teachers MTSS team and district leadership.
  • Aid in Creating and implementing Personal Math Plans and other documentation for numeracy interventions and MTSS.
  • Work with K-12 Math Coordinator and building administrators.
  • Manage student learning in accordance with the goals of the District.
  • Ability to maintain effective classroom management strategies.


Qualifications:

  • Experience:
    • Experience using Math Recovery assessments and instruction (preferred).
    • Evidence of technology skills to implement programs.
    • Experience with interpreting data related to mathematics (preferred).
  • Education:
    • RI Teacher Certification; Elementary Middle Secondary ELA.
  • Certification & Licensing:
    • Must meet the current RI Department of Education requirements and or certifications.
