Job Responsibilities:

Teach/tutor in-center using the Mathnasium Method terminology and teaching practices
Work collaboratively with team members to deliver individualized instruction in a group setting
Assess students learning progress and engagement throughout instructional sessions
Support the maintenance of a safe and professional learning environment
Support various administrative tasks and projects around the center
Communicate student progress with parents and guardians

Required Qualifications:

Passion for and great working with kids -- fun patience encouragement empathy
Team player
Driven & motivated; desire to lean in and grow within the organization; interest in taking on new projects; seeking promotion to Lead Instructor Assistant Center Director and beyond
Eagerness to learn and be trained
Positive attitude; we are looking for outgoing people people who value positivity and fun!
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; comfort speaking with students and parents
Desire and ability to teach
Hours availability

Preferred Qualifications:

Teaching experience
Passion for math
Strong math competency through at least Algebra I

All applicants will be required to take a math literacy test to demonstrate math proficiency provide work authorization and successfully complete a background check in accordance with applicable California law.

Compensation: $17-$20 per hour

Compensation: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour

Mathnasium locations are independently owned and operated by franchisees of Mathnasium Center Licensing LLC (Mathnasium). Franchisees are independent business people and not employed by Mathnasium. Thus each franchisee and each franchisee center is unique and the franchisee is alone responsible for all employment matters in their center. If you are hired to work at a center the franchisee will be your employer not Mathnasium.
