$34.60 - $48.30/Hour

We are seeking a Materials & Process Test Engineer to support product validation failure analysis materials engineering and process improvement initiatives. This role focuses on evaluating parts materials manufacturing processes and test methods through research laboratory testing root cause analysis and continuous improvement to ensure product safety reliability quality and compliance with engineering specifications.

Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate parts materials manufacturing processes technologies and equipment through research and testing to ensure safety reliability and compliance with engineering requirements and specifications.
  • Perform failure analysis on components materials and manufacturing processes to identify root causes and implement corrective actions that reduce or eliminate recurring failures.
  • Develop and execute test plans document test procedures analyze results and provide technical recommendations.
  • Identify categorize and document product and process failures while maintaining detailed engineering records.
  • Propose develop validate and implement revisions to engineering procedures specifications and manufacturing processes.
  • Assess the suitability of parts materials and manufacturing processes for production and product applications.
  • Coordinate technical issue resolution with suppliers customers and cross-functional engineering teams.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives by designing developing fabricating testing evaluating and implementing new products materials processes and technologies.
  • Provide technical expertise and engineering consultation to internal and external customers.

Qualifications:

  • Associate degree (Technical AA) in Engineering Technology Materials Science Manufacturing Technology or a related technical discipline.
  • Typically 3 years of related engineering laboratory manufacturing quality or materials experience; equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered (e.g. Bachelors degree with 1 year of experience or 5 years of related experience).
  • Experience supporting materials evaluation product testing failure analysis or manufacturing process validation.
  • Ability to develop test plans analyze engineering data identify root causes and prepare technical documentation.
  • Familiarity with engineering specifications testing methodologies and quality standards.
  • Proficiency using computers and standard business software applications.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience supporting aerospace defense manufacturing or industrial engineering environments.
  • Knowledge of materials engineering product reliability quality engineering or continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Experience working with suppliers and customers to resolve technical or manufacturing issues.
