Materials Preparation Technician

Job Summary
Sika is looking for a Materials Preparation Technician to join its growing team in Shakopee MN. Sample Lab Technicians primary responsibilities are centered around the application of products and systems manufactured and/or designed by Sika. This position is responsibilities include cutting and sanding a variety of materials and following the directions described by the data guides for the materials that are being used. The Sample Lab Technician needs to have a basic understanding of high school math be adept with the use of a variety of carpentry tools. This role will be expected to keep track of the materials that they are using and notify the Sample Lab Supervisor of any materials that they are running out of. On the job training and job appropriate P.P.E. will be supplied by the Sample Lab Supervisor.
Qualifications :
- High School Diploma or GED
- Basic math skills
- Ability to stand for long periods
- Ability to lift 65 lbs
- Willing to shave facial hair to wear a halfface respirator
- Comfortable with strong nonhazardous odors
- Ability to work independently and on a team
- Experience in carpentry masonry adhesives waterproofing flooring concrete repair façade systems or coatings (preferred)
- Basic Microsoft Office knowledge (preferred)
