Materials Assoc III

PURPOSE AND SCOPE

Ensure all truck shipments are properly releasedpackagedand shipped per promise date and coordinate shipping releases with other Rite-Hite Corporations.Coordinate all receipts of inventory.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

• Load truck shipments with forklift.Do this bydeterminingspace requirements andappropriate positionof shipment in trucks by inspecting loading operations to ensure compliance with shipping specifications and by sealing truck doors prior to departure.

• Serve as primary contact for carriers and internal Customer Service Representativesregardingproduct delivery.

• Coordinate all product delivery for truck shipments by producing and reviewing shipping notices bills of lading invoices packingslipsand other records todetermineshipping priorities and shipping methods required to meet shipping schedules. This includesposting ofshipments.

• Coordinate all receipts of inventory by unloading trucks reviewing packing slips for proper purchase order number part numberquantityand post receipt of productin computer.

• Properly storeinventory andcommunicate to system proper location and quantity.Perform material transfers and process the proper paperwork.

• Perform cycle counts resolvediscrepanciesand update the computer system accordingly.

• Manage outside inventory while ensuring proper inventory storage levels and safe housekeeping practices.

• Provide on-the-job training for employees as.

• Loads materials into proper vehicles.

• Unpacks and examines incoming shipments verifies receiving slip accuracy and shipment quality rejects damages items records shortages and corresponds with shipper to rectify damages and shortages. Records factors causing goods to be returned.

• Process posting transactions for Parts and Production Materials Department.

• Pull and pack parts per pick slips to ship per shipping process.

• Create shippinglabelfrom pickslipintoWorldship.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) along with at leastone-yearrelated experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

KNOWLEDGE / SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

• ForkliftDrivers Certificate.
  

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job the employeeis regularly required tostand;use hands to fingerhandleorfeel;talk or hear. The employeefrequentlyis required towalk and reach with hands and arms. The employeeis occasionally required tostoop kneel crouch or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision color vision peripheral vision depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly exposed to fumes or airborne particles.The employee is occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals and outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually Protective Equipment (PPE) is.
