What You Will Be Doing:

The Material and Services Procurement Lead is responsible for developing and executing strategic sourcing and purchasing initiatives for utility-scale capital equipment construction and engineering services in support of EDPR NAs project portfolio. This role establishes procurement strategies drives competitive sourcing and supplier negotiations oversees contract development and supplier performance and continuously enhances procurement processes tools and governance to optimize cost quality risk and supplier value across the organization.

  • Develop and execute sourcing strategies for major capital equipment construction engineering and engineering services supporting EDPR NA projects.
  • Lead competitive sourcing events supplier evaluations contract negotiations and contract execution to deliver the best overall value.
  • Build and manage strategic supplier relationships including supplier performance and continuous improvement initiatives to improve delivery and cost.
  • Develop and maintain procurement policies processes tools and contract templates to drive consistency compliance and operational excellence.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to support project execution through effective procurement planning and commercial guidance.
  • Mentor and develop procurement team members and provide leadership to Procurement Analysts and Associates.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering Finance or a related field; Masters degree preferred
  • 7 years of experience in contract management procurement and negotiations
  • Thorough knowledge of the competitive bid process for construction engineering and operations services and of negotiation techniques
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office software
  • Competency in Analytical Problem Solving Strong Communication Customer/Partner Relationships and Technology Expertise (Preferred)

Physical demands & working conditions:

  • Sitting/Standing/Flexibility: Ability to stand and sit for 8 or more hours when in an office environment
  • Speech/Reading: Ability to speak read and write English proficiently and deliver a variety of instructions furnished in written verbal diagram or scheduled form
  • Lifting: Ability to lift items weighing up to 10 pounds
  • Vision/Hearing: Ability to understand a variety of instructions furnished in written verbal diagram or schedule form
  • Safety: Ability to understand and communicate safety precautions when necessary
