To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth were looking to add a Material Analyst located in Austin TX.
Reporting to the manager the potential candidate would be responsible for providing data evaluation in support of the various areas within the Materials function
What a typical day looks like:
- Assists in data auditing for accuracy and creates summary reports and visuals based on data inspections.
- Provides recommendations to management derived from data analysis.
- Collects and evaluates diverse data types preparing reports from various sources including customer and staff metrics.
- May create or maintain databases to support data collection efforts.
- Resolves data integrity issues and proactively identifies potential metric-related issues.
- Suggests process improvements for metric tracking and tracks financial performance of materials initiating corrective actions when necessary.
- Responsibilities may include supporting inventory control supply chain management and material planning.
- Develops commodity spend profiles pricing evaluation tools and performs detailed evaluations of bills of materials.
- Conducts reporting and inspections for supplier score carding and validates site pricing with established processes.
- Aids in supply chain transfer risk management for new product introductions (NPI) and manages data evaluation tools.
- Main point of contact between planning team and buyers to provide status of critical shortages and to serve as expeditor of gating items.
- First point of escalation for materials related issues for suppliers and internal customers buyer kits from other CMs (kits for TRI).
- Back up employee for purchasing manager would create all reports invoices resolution execution of orders and follow up OPOR local suppliers among others during default buyer absences and address escalations from DBS for missing ASNs.
The experience were looking to add to our team:
- Typically requires a bachelors degree in related field or equivalent experience.
- Prefer a minimum of 5 year of experience in materials or related field. A background in electronics manufacturing is desired.
- Ability to read analyze and interpret general business periodicals professional journals and technical procedures. Ability to write reports business correspondence and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers customers and suppliers. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts interest commissions proportions and percentages.
- Knowledge of MS suite excel word and outlook are required . Power BI is good to have .
