To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth were looking to add a Materials Lead located in Columbia SC.
Reporting to the Warehouse Manager the Materials Lead is responsible fortracking product informationin order tokeep businesses and supply chains on schedule for production lines. Ensure proper scheduling and recordkeeping for materials moved within operations. Participates in work related to receiving issuing and delivering a variety of materials equipment and supplieswithin operation areas. Works with independence in carrying out duties with limited supervision.
What a typical day looks like:
- Responsible for leadingand coordinatingthe work of subordinates involved in material movement across different operation areas.
- Ensure proper scheduling & recordkeeping for materials movedwithin operations area.
- Compile reports on various aspects of changes in production which affects materials feeds to production lines.
- Find sort or move goods between different parts of the business
- Oversees workers schedules estimate costs keep track of materials and write special orders for new materials.
- Perform general office tasks such as entering data or distributing mail.
- May receive unpack anduse hand-held scanners to keeptrackofmerchandise within different production areas
- May weigh measure check sample and keep records on materials supplies and equipment that enters operations area.
- May verify the quantity and quality of itemsprovided on production line checking for defects and recording what they find.
The experience were looking to add to our team:
- Requires a minimum of6years of related experience.
- Office Skills: typing telephones office software to include word processing spreadsheets presentation package and database systems.
- Skillsrequired:electronic scales pallet jack measuring tools and alignment tools
- Ability to read analyze and interpret general business periodicalsprofessionalsjournals technical procedures or governmental regulations.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers and customers
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written oral diagram or schedule form.
