Material Handlers Evening Shift

MATERIAL HANDLERS NEEDED FOR FORT MYERS

Purpose of position:

Under general supervision check store and organize materials from the warehouse.

Duties and Responsibilities:

The following duties are typical of those performed by employees in this job title; however employees may perform other related duties and not all duties listed are necessarily performed by each employee in the job title:

• Move materials and items from receiving or storage areas to shipping or to other designated areas

• Sort and place materials or items on racks shelves or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size type style or product code

• Restock material in assigned bin location; or fill requisitions for materials and distribute items to designated delivery trucks

• Stack or assemble materials into bundles and band bundles together; package orders for shipping pick up or truck delivery

• Measure cut and package material

• Complete Material Movement paperwork

• Open boxes crates and other containers

• Examine stock for deterioration and defects and reports findings

• Assist in counting of physical inventory

• Inspect Raymond fork lift daily for damages and report findings

• Load and operate Raymond fork-lifts; load trucks for next day deliveries

• Keep warehouse and work area organized at all times

• Comply with Company and OSHA policies; participate in safety and accident preventative meetings

• Wear safety equipment at all times MUST wear hardhat at all times during work hours

• Perform facilities maintenance duties as needed

• Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs

Qualifications:

• Fork lift experience a plus but not necessary

• Basic math skills

• Read tape measure

Climb crawl and stoop to reach material; bend at the waist kneel or crouch for extended periods of time; reach overhead above the shoulders and horizontally.
