Material HandlerJob Description Summary
The Material Handler is responsible for the safe and efficient movement storage and distribution of materials throughout the manufacturing facility. This role ensures production areas have the necessary materials to meet production schedules maintains accurate inventory records and supports shipping receiving and warehouse operations. The Material Handler operates material handling equipment follows safety procedures and works closely with production and warehouse teams to ensure smooth and efficient operations.Job Description:
- Have the ability to rotate between all Logistics jobs. These jobs are Material Handler Receiver Shipper Stretch Wrap and miscellaneous i.e. Cycle Counter Recyclables Service Material Handler Battery Maintenance. Etc.
- Be able to follow and apply the QS9000 procedures.
- Maintain inventory accuracy at cycle count level that is > 96%.
- Use a computer bar scanning devices and associated equipment in a proficient manner.
- Maintain the assembly cell with delivering materials and removing finished goods in a timely manner.
- Receive and ship products on a correct and timely manner.
- Be proficient in operating all material handling equipment in a safe and expeditious manner.
- Have a working knowledge pf KANBAN.
- Perform any other duties as specified by supervisor.
