Responsibilities
Receive inspect and verify incoming raw materials and components Transport materials to production lines work cells or storage areas according to production schedules Load unload and stage materials using pallet jacks carts forklifts or other material handling equipment (as certified) Remove finished goods scrap and recyclable materials from production areas Accurately label scan and track materials using inventory or manufacturing systems Perform routine material counts and assist with cycle counts as needed Maintain organized clean and safe material storage and staging areas Follow all manufacturing safety requirements including lockout/tagout awareness PPE use and proper lifting techniques Support lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives Communicate material shortages damages or delays to supervisors and production teams Comply with all quality safety and housekeeping standards Perform additional duties as assigned to support manufacturing operations
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent preferred Previous experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment preferred Forklift or powered industrial truck experience preferred (certification required or willingness to obtain) Ability to follow production schedules work instructions and safety procedures Basic math reading and documentation skills Experience with inventory systems or scanners a plus Manufacturing plant or production facility
