POSITION SUMMARY:
Responsible for moving locating picking and counting inventory across various storage locations while completing all required inventory and material transactions within applicable software systems. Ensures inventory accuracy and adherence to established material handling processes and procedures. Responds promptly to material requests from Production and other departments to support operational efficiency maintain material flow and meet business objectives. Maintains a strong focus on safety quality and inventory control in a fast-paced manufacturing or warehouse environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for the physical and administrative tasks involved in the storing and distributing of materials parts supplies and equipment.
- Examines stocks and kits materials in inventory and on manufacturing lines.
- Prepares kitting packages for assembly production service repair and sales orders.
- Performs daily cycle counts posts inventory counts as applicable and helps resolve discrepancies
- Ensures the security and accountability of materials and goods with inventory control
- Communicates issues appropriately to Planners Buyers etc
- Responds to requests & inquiries quickly and professionally
- Other duties as assigned
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Location: Vancouver WA
- Environment: Works in a manufacturing environment which may be noisy and fast paced.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Working knowledge of material handling/logistics systems and SAP
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Capability to respond quickly and professionally to changing requirements
- PC skills; ability to learn new software applications
- Ability to work on a team and focus on satisfying internal customer needs
- Knowledge and understanding of ESD practices
- Ability to safely lift carry push and pull materials (often up to 50 lbs.)
- Ability to read work instructions shipping documents and inventory labels
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Physical Requirements:
- Stand and walk for extended periods
- Frequently bend stoop reach and lift
- Work in warehouse or manufacturing environments with varying temperatures
EXPERIENCE:
- 2 years of experience in warehouse manufacturing logistics or material handling environments.
- Experience receiving storing moving and issuing materials and inventory.
- Experience performing inventory transactions within ERP MRP or warehouse management systems.
- Experience with cycle counting inventory control and maintaining inventory accuracy.
- Experience supporting production operations by delivering materials and responding to material requests in a timely manner.
- Ability to read and interpret work orders pick lists shipping documents and inventory records.
EDUCATION:
- High School Diploma or GED.
COMPENSATION:
As required by multiple state pay transparency laws Advanced Energy provides a reasonable range of compensation for each job posting. Actual compensation is influenced by an array of factors including but not limited to skill set level of experience and specific office location. The range of starting pay for this role is $19.00 per hourto $22.00per hour.
