Job Summary
PURPOSEUnder general supervision handles and maintains the flow of materials and products on the premises according to established guidelines; performs some recordkeeping and quality control duties. Provides guidance and training to less experienced DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESPhysically handles materials used to construct components and finished products to ensure movement of such items is optimized; lifts carries stacks items as motorized and non-motorized material handling equipment some of which may require specialized movement of incoming and outgoing materials and supplies and verifies the accuracy of work performed by self and other material to training from foreman in order to increase own knowledge of work new materials employees in the tasks required for efficient movement of materials on the work site including actual handling techniques use of machinery and safety guidelines and procedures. Understands and observes all safety procedures and practices in order to prevent injury to self or co-workers; attends periodic safety meetings as required; may recommend changes to improve safety duties may be RESPONSIBILITIESThis job has no supervisory REQUIREMENTSTo perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
