Shift: Monday - Wednesday from 06:30 PM 6:00 AM

Summary:

The Material Handler II is responsible for supporting pharmaceutical manufacturing operations by preparing production areas operating equipment handling materials and maintaining compliance with GMP standards. This role requires mechanical aptitude attention to detail and the ability to work in a regulated cleanroom manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will contribute to safe efficient and high-quality production processes within a pharmaceutical manufacturing facility.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare manufacturing areas and equipment for pharmaceutical production activities.
  • Safely operate computer-controlled equipment used in dispensing granulation compression or coating processes.
  • Disassemble clean and reassemble manufacturing equipment using basic hand tools.
  • Assist with troubleshooting equipment and process-related issues.
  • Maintain accurate and compliant batch records logbooks and GMP documentation.
  • Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs).
  • Monitor production operations for deviations quality risks or mechanical problems and escalate concerns as needed.
  • Identify opportunities for safety quality and process improvements.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety requirements.
  • Support operations in additional work areas as needed.

Required Skills:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous experience as a material handler in a GMP or pharmaceutical environment preferred.
  • Experience working in a cleanroom environment is highly preferred.
  • Ability to complete GMP documentation accurately and legibly.
  • Mechanical aptitude with the ability to disassemble and reassemble equipment.
  • Basic math and reading comprehension skills for following technical instructions and completing calculations.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work independently or within a team.
  • Basic computer operation skills; APACS experience is a plus.
  • Ability to operate stand-up forklifts and walkie stackers.
  • Ability to handle drums weighing up to 110 kg and lift containers up to 40 kg.
  • Ability to intermittently hand-scoop materials weighing up to 5 lbs throughout the shift.
  • Must wear PPE including gowning and various respirators in cleanroom environments.
  • Manufacturing environment with strict adherence to safety and quality standards.
