Position Summary: The Material Handler receives work assignments from the area chief and/or FLS (First Line Supervisor) who is responsible for the direction and assignments of job tasks associated with the Marine Operations area of the plant. Marine Operations handles marine shipments of Ammonium Sulfate unloading raw materials by barge and railcar and the operation of material handling equipment including chemical storage operations at the and Responsibilities:Ammonium Sulfate Barge/Vessel loadingAmmonium sulfate cleaning and housekeeping in Marine Operations and related areasTransfer of raw materials from storage to other operating areasOperating large valves and pumps on occasionRaw material unloading by vessel truck and railcarDocking of barges/vesselsOverweight and underweight commercial truck weight adjustmentsPayloader inspections and general payloader operationSnow removal (Plant wide) including the use of pay loaders shovels and other equipmentBobcat and forklift operationCustomer truck and North Side truck loadingMarine Operations pad operation and cleaningConveyor system operation and cleaningSafely operator all vehicles and other job-related equipmentSupport and enforce all corporate facility and department policiesSubject to 12-hour rotating shiftsMust be flexible to changing priorities and willing to handle emergenciesRequired Qualifications:High School Diploma or equivalent requiredGood written and verbal communication skillsMust have a valid drivers licenseAdditional Qualifications:To be successful in this position you must rate highly in the following capabilities or traits: Interpersonal skills attention to detail follow directions comprehension reading writing speaking mathematics organizing and innovationAble to perform duties wearing required PPEComputer CompetencyThe hourly rate for this position is $20.91
