Position Summary
We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Material Handler to join our warehouse operations team. The Material Handler is responsible for the safe and efficient movement storage loading unloading and distribution of materials and products throughout the facility. This position plays a key role in supporting shipping receiving inventory accuracy and overall warehouse productivity.
The ideal candidate is safety-focused organized and able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Receive unload inspect and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and delivery documentation.
- Move transport and stage materials throughout the warehouse using pallet jacks forklifts or other material handling equipment.
- Load and unload trucks while ensuring proper handling and secure placement of products.
- Pick pack label and prepare customer orders accurately for shipment.
- Store inventory in designated warehouse locations following company procedures and safety guidelines.
- Perform inventory counts cycle counts and stock replenishment activities to maintain accurate inventory records.
- Operate RF scanners and warehouse management systems (WMS) to track inventory movement and order processing.
- Maintain a clean organized and safe work environment.
- Follow all company safety policies and OSHA regulations.
- Assist with shipping receiving and other warehouse duties as assigned.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to meet daily operational goals.
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous warehouse or material handling experience preferred.
- Ability to lift move and carry up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Experience operating pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment.
- Basic computer and data entry skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Forklift certification or forklift operating experience.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Experience using RF scanners.
- Knowledge of shipping receiving and inventory control processes.
- Experience in distribution or logistics environments.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand walk bend stoop and lift throughout the work shift.
- Ability to work in varying warehouse temperatures and conditions.
- Ability to safely operate warehouse equipment and machinery.
