Material Handler

Under the direction of the Warehouse Supervisor the Material Handler is responsible for safely operating an electric powered industrial truck equipped with lifting devices such as forklift or elevating platform to push lift stack or move products or materials to designated areas. Move materials in a safe and organized way. Also responsible for adhering to the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs) that are in :Positions forks lifting platform or other lifting device under over or around loaded pallets boxes products or materials and transports load to designated areaReceives product and loads / unloads trucksPrepare pallets of finished product for shipmentUnloads and stacks material by using lifting deviceInventories materials on work floor and in warehouseLoads or unloads materials onto/off pallets or lifting device and moves materials to appropriate destinationsOperates material handling equipment independently as well as within a team environmentOrganizes and maintains materials and other components in storage or staging areaAssist in ensuring 100% accountability for components products and labeling a physical count during cycle counts and/or annual inventory and legibly records counts and quantities so that it may be handed off to the System Data to perform blind with company policies and procedures and maintains regular work attendancePersonal responsibility for following safety rules SOPs and cGMPs guidelines; specific functions and documents will be discussed in GMP and on the job trainingPerforms other duties as assignedQualifications:High School diploma or equivalent highly comply with GMP requirements1-3 years of relevant warehousing experience preferred.1-2 years of forklift driving experienceMust be able to read/write EnglishAbility to work autonomously and use resources available to complete tasks timelyExperience with Warehouse Management System (WMS) preferredExperience with RF (radio frequency) scanner system preferredPhysical Requirements:Must be able to lift 50lbsMust be able to stand for 8 hoursMust be able to work in a physically challenging environmentWe proudly offer: Medical Dental Vision 401K with Company Match Pet insurance and more!We reward the hard work of our team members with fun and exciting company events Summer Picnic Festive Packages Holiday Celebrations and associate referral bonuses!Founded in 2011 Piping Rock Health Products has gone on to win Long Islands Top Workplaces Award 6 years in a row & securing the spot as Top Supplement Manufacturing Company 2024 by Food Business Review!
