A Material Handler performs manual and clerical duties related to shipping receiving inspecting storing issuing and delivering a variety of materials equipment and supplies.

Material Handler / Warehouse Worker - Based in Berlin CT

Hiring for 1st and 2nd Shifts!

1st Shift: 7:00AM- 3:30PM Monday - Friday

2nd Shift: 1:00PM- 9:30PM Monday - Friday

Duties and Responsibilities

• Executes foundational tasks within a warehouse environment including but not limited to: packaging unpackaging put away sorting staging picking shipping and preparing units for production.
• Cut open boxed inventory in the storage area or on the rack.
• Place open boxes on the appropriate shelf of the flow rack.
• Walk the length of the flow rack.
• Wrap cords neatly and securely ensuring they are tangle-free.
• Assist with labeling tagging or color-coding wrapped cords as needed for easy identification.
• Consistently meet or surpass daily production and quality goals.
• Complete required paperwork forms or digital records accurately and promptly for documentation purposes.
• Maintain a clean organized workstation.
• Responsible for following warehouse safety regulations.
• All other duties assigned based on the business the warehouse supports.

Required Skills and Experience

• Capacity to demonstrate reliability adaptability and dependability.
• Attention to detail accuracy and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Basic computer ability.
• Ability to understand and follow directions.

Preferred Skills and Experience

• Previous experience working in a high-volume distribution manufacturing technical service (i.e. testing and repair) or forward logistics operation a plus.
• Handles basic issues and problems and refers more complex issues to higher-level staff.
• Clerical skills.
• Time-management skills.
• Written and verbal communication skills.

Educational Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent work experience.

Physical Demands and Working Conditions

• Warehouse environment.
• Stand dynamically for long periods.
• Use hands and fingers to handle and/or feel; the ability to type pick pinch with fingers seize hold grasp or turn with hands.
• Lift up to fifty (50) pounds.
• Push and/or pull up to fifty (50) pounds.
• Reach up and out with hands and arms
• Occasionally required to climb stairs or ladders.
