Job Summary

Overview

The Masonry Superintendent is responsible for overseeing masonry operations on commercial construction projects from start to finish. This role provides leadership to field personnel coordinates project activities and ensures work is completed safely on schedule within budget and to quality standards.

What Youll Do

  • Lead and supervise masonry field operations including Foremen Masons Mason Tenders Operators and subcontractors.
  • Coordinate manpower materials equipment and daily work activities to support project schedules and productivity goals.
  • Review project plans specifications schedules and construction documents to ensure proper execution of work.
  • Collaborate with Project Managers owners architects engineers and other trades to support successful project delivery.
  • Monitor project progress and proactively address field issues conflicts and construction challenges.
  • Ensure compliance with company safety policies OSHA requirements and jobsite-specific safety programs.
  • Conduct site visits crew meetings safety discussions and progress reviews.
  • Support workforce development through training mentoring and performance management of field personnel.
  • Monitor labor budgets equipment utilization productivity quality control and schedule performance.
  • Participate in preconstruction meetings constructability reviews and project planning activities.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation including daily reports schedules safety records and field communication.
  • Serve as a technical resource and leader for masonry construction methods materials and best practices.

What Were Looking For

  • 5 years of masonry construction experience including leadership or supervisory responsibilities.
  • Experience managing commercial masonry projects crews and field operations.
  • Strong knowledge of masonry materials installation methods equipment and safety practices.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings specifications and schedules.
  • Proven ability to manage manpower productivity labor budgets and project schedules.
  • Strong communication leadership problem-solving and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency with construction technology and project management software.
  • OSHA 30 certification preferred.
