Under the general supervision the Mason performs journey-level masonry tasks consisting of concrete plaster stucco block brick tile stone and related tools and materials used in the profession. The incumbent performs repair work on buildings and hardscape while supporting maintenance construction maintenance and renovation projects across campus.
- Builds forms grades and shoots elevations; uses a transit or builders level; mixes pours and finishes concrete.
- Performs labor required to break out old concrete and ensures its removal.
- Performs plaster stucco and concrete block work. This position installs concrete masonry blocks and bricks. Saws concrete and tarmac.
- Erects maintains and repairs forms and related temporary structures associated with masonry and concrete work.
- Operates cement mixers and other masonry-related tools and equipment.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
