Job Summary

Job Title: MarTech Engineer (Tag Management & Digital Analytics)

Client: Confidential DIRECT CLIENT (Domain: Fundraising)

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled MarTech Engineer with a strong combination of technical implementation and business analysis experience. This individual will lead the design implementation validation and optimization of digital analytics and tag management solutions while partnering closely with Marketing Product Analytics and Engineering teams.

The ideal candidate has hands-on expertise implementing Adobe Launch Google Tag Manager Adobe Analytics and Google Analytics 4 (GA4) along with the ability to translate business objectives into scalable tracking and measurement solutions. This role requires someone who is comfortable working with both technical teams and business stakeholders throughout the entire implementation lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

Tag Management & Analytics Implementation

  • Design implement and maintain client-side and server-side tagging solutions using Adobe Launch and Google Tag Manager.
  • Configure tags triggers rules variables data elements and extensions.
  • Implement and manage third-party marketing and media pixels including Google Ads Floodlights Facebook and LinkedIn where applicable.
  • Configure and support Adobe Analytics and Google Analytics (GA4) implementations.
  • Develop scalable event tracking strategies measurement frameworks and variable mappings.
  • Troubleshoot analytics implementations and resolve data quality issues.

Business Analysis & Solution Design

  • Partner with Marketing Product Analytics and Engineering teams to gather business requirements.
  • Translate business needs into clear technical tracking specifications and implementation requirements.
  • Develop measurement strategies aligned with business objectives KPIs events dimensions and metrics.
  • Participate in backlog refinement prioritization sprint planning and solution design discussions.
  • Provide feasibility assessments and implementation recommendations.

Data Layer & Technical Integration

  • Design and maintain scalable data layer architectures.
  • Partner with development teams to ensure accurate implementation of tracking specifications.
  • Ensure consistent data collection across analytics tag management and marketing platforms.

Quality Assurance & Governance

  • Validate analytics implementations tags pixels and event tracking through end-to-end testing.
  • Utilize browser developer tools and network debugging techniques to verify data accuracy.
  • Establish documentation naming conventions governance standards and change management processes.
  • Support privacy consent management and data governance best practices.

Required Qualifications

  • 6 years of experience in Digital Analytics Marketing Technology or Tag Management.
  • Hands-on experience with Adobe Launch.
  • Hands-on experience with Google Tag Manager including client-side implementations. Experience with server-side tagging is strongly preferred.
  • Strong implementation experience with Adobe Analytics.
  • Strong implementation experience with Google Analytics 4 (GA4).
  • Experience gathering business requirements and translating them into technical solutions.
  • Strong understanding of data layer architecture and event tracking frameworks.
  • Proficiency with JavaScript HTML and CSS.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively across technical and business teams.
