Marketing Intern

Great Southern Wood Preserving Inc. makers of YellaWood brand pressure-treated pine is seeking candidates for a Marketing intern in the 2027 Summer Internship Program. This program is an opportunity to experience the lumber industry and workforce like never before. Responsibilities may include:

• Designing and updating flyers ads and other miscellaneous items including:
• Create visually appealing flyers forms posters ads and other promotional materials.
• Use design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop Illustrator InDesign) to produce high-quality graphics.
• Ensure designs are in line with the organizations branding guidelines.
• Arrange text and images in a visually pleasing and organized manner.
• Format forms and documents for readability and user-friendliness.
• Edit and retouch images as needed for design projects.
• Brainstorm and collaborate with the team to come up with creative design concepts for various projects.
• Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders to gather project requirements.
• Organize and maintain digital files ensuring easy access to design assets and resources.
• Archive completed projects for future reference.
• Ensure that designs are error-free before final production.
• Prepare design files for print including setting up print specifications (bleeds color profiles etc.).
• Be open to receiving constructive feedback from managers and incorporate it into design revisions.
• Maintain design-related documentation and resources.
• Take advantage of the internship as a learning opportunity to improve design skills and gain practical experience.
• Ensure compliance with copyright and intellectual property laws when using external resources.

Qualifications:

• Must be at least a sophomore and actively seeking a Bachelors or Masters degree in Marketing Graphic Design or other closely related field with a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or greater.
• Must have experience with PowerPoint Excel Word Microsoft Teams and Outlook.
