Our full range of medical services includes trauma services heart and vascular care emergency services surgery maternity cancer care and diagnostic imaging.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Market Director of Perioperative Services you will contribute to the CHI Health mission by planning designing implementing and maintaining programs and policies across all facets of patient care administration in assigned departments.

Every day you willintegrate services between departments to ensure patient-centered care needs are met drive quality and cost-effective care improvements and serve as Director Perioperative Services at a designated facility all while leading strategy and growth for the perioperative service line within the NE/IA market.

To be successful in this role you willpossess strong leadership strategic planning and operational management skills in perioperative services a proven ability to integrate departments and drive quality improvements and a deep commitment to ethical management and CHI Healths mission vision and values.

  • Provide leadership and direction for multiple facilities in all aspects of Perioperative Services operations including staff recruitment development quality management regulatory compliance utilization and efficiencies
  • Assure appropriate level of understanding awareness and compliance with all applicable Joint Commission federal state and agency laws regulations guidelines and professional standards
  • Ensure optimal utilization of department resources through participation in planning capital and operational budgets in development and implementation of systems and practices that achieve defined objectives in internal and external benchmarking activities and in monitoring analysis and resolution of budget and productivity variances
  • Maintain a department scope of care based on patient population and identified needs
  • Develop coordinate and manage operating systems operational standardization service standards approaches communication methods and policies across CHI Health
  • Maintain a system of management reporting that provides the system with timely and relevant information on all aspects of areas of responsibility

Job Requirements

  • Bachelors degree of Science in Nursing
  • A minimum of five (5) years of progressivework experience
  • Registered Nurse in the state of Nebraska
  • BLS-CPR

Preferred

  • Masters degree
  • One to three (1-3) years of supervisory experience in a healthcare environment
  • ACLS PALS and/or CNOR
