Marine Technician Paid Training & Certification
Location: Vermillion SD. Must commute or relocate for the role.
Job Type: Full-Time
Pay: $25.00-$28.00 per hour depending on experience

What Youll Do
- Diagnose and repair outboard motors and select inboard engines
- Troubleshoot mechanical electrical and fuel system issues
- Perform routine maintenance including oil changes tune-ups and winterization
- Install marine electronics steering systems controls and accessories
- Conduct inspections and ensure repairs meet manufacturer standards
- Occasionally perform river tests to verify repair quality and performance
- Explain repairs and maintenance recommendations to customers
- Maintain a clean organized and safe work environment
Qualifications
- Mechanical repair experience preferred (marine automotive diesel powersports agricultural or heavy equipment)
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals
- Basic hand tools required
- Valid drivers license
- Ability to maneuver boat trailers
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
