Manufacturing Support Specialist

This role is based onsite for daily in-person work. At Red Wing regardless of working in roles that are fully remote onsite or hybrid what matters most is working together staying connected and putting care into everything we do.

GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB:

The Manufacturing Support Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring efficient and effective manufacturing operations. This position involves supporting production processes overseeing the inventory and organization of tools parts and equipment used in a manufacturing as well as working directly with suppliers and vendors.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Data Management: Collect and analyze production data to identify trends and areas for improvement. Maintain accurate records and documentation.
• Process Improvement: Collaborate with engineering maintenance and production teams to implement process improvements and enhance operational efficiency.
• Safety Compliance: Ensure adherence to safety regulations and promote a culture of safety within the manufacturing environment.
• Inventory Management: Maintain accurate records of all parts and materials ensuring stock levels meet production needs.
• Ordering and Procurement: Coordinate with suppliers to order parts negotiate prices and ensure timely delivery.
• Organization: Implement and maintain an organized parts room layout for efficient access and storage of materials.
• Collaboration: Work closely with production teams to understand their needs and ensure they have the necessary parts available.
• Reporting: Generate reports on inventory usage turnover rates and stock levels for management review.

Qualifications :

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:

• High school diploma or equivalent and two years of experience in a related area or role
• Experience with Inventory Management systems
• Previous experience with Microsoft Excel
