Manufacturing Supervisor, Production

About the role: The Production Supervisor offers essential leadership and guidance at the operational level overseeing performance assessment and addressing challenges within designated areas of the facility. Furthermore the supervisor cultivates an environment characterized by inclusivity transparent communication and trust thereby enhancing team development and employee youll do: Complies with Viant Values emphasizing safety quality standards and adherence to policies and procedures. Provides guidance with the resolution of technical and production issues to ensure that weekly schedules are completed in alignment with Company and Customer expectations. Develops and oversees the synchronization of products or production lines with the master production schedule and material planning to achieve production objectives. Establishes and monitors departmental performance metrics including visual controls and provides regular updates on that work orders are accurately closed in Oracle and that data integrity is team members in a manner that promotes a safe working environment and encourages a self-directed team leadership to team members in various aspects including recruitment performance management coaching counseling and implementing corrective actions. Maintains ongoing communication regarding production facility and team member achievements and communication coordination and conflict resolution within and between work groups. Fosters a culture of diversity inclusion open communication and trust creating opportunities for training and professional development. Remain adaptable to the business needs and undertake additional responsibilities as required. Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing Methodologies:Assist in analyzing production and related processes offering recommendations for enhancements and organizing process improvement initiatives through the applicationCollaborates with Engineers to analyze production and related processes providing recommendations for improvements and organizing process enhancement activitiesIdentifies organizes and/or delivers training to ensure a safe efficient and high-quality work environment focusing on continuous improvementEncourages an environment of inclusion open communication and trust to support team development and enhance associate engagement. RequirementsKnowledge/Education:High School Diploma or GEDBachelors degree in Operations/Engineering or Business preferredJob Experience:3 years of supervisory experience in Manufacturing Environment3 years in Machining environment CNC or Swiss machinesSkills/CompetenciesExperience in Medical/Pharma environmentsAbility to plan and manage various aspects of the operation for the safe environment and profitable growthStrong organizational time management and communication skills (verbal and written)Strong problem-solving skills: the ability to ask the right questions help frame logical conclusions and arrive at effective solutionsExhibits a high level of energy and possesses excellent interpersonal skillsDemonstrated experience teaching and coaching the application of continuous improvement and analytical skillsKnowledge of Lean Manufacturing PrinciplesProficient in MS Office with advanced Excel competenceRapid Response experience preferredPhysical RequirementsWorking on the production floor of either sitting walking and standingOccasional lifting up to 25lbs
