Pay Range: $29.33 - $34.17 per hour

Remington Ammunition is seeking a skilled Manufacturing Specialist to support the operation maintenance troubleshooting and continuous improvement of our Cold Header Shell manufacturing equipment. This role is ideal for mechanically inclined individuals who enjoy working with advanced production machinery solving equipment issues and contributing to a high-performing manufacturing team.

What Youll Do

As a Manufacturing Specialist you will play a critical role in maintaining equipment reliability ensuring product quality and supporting safe and efficient manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain Cold Header Shell Manufacturing equipment.

• Perform preventive maintenance (PM) and predictive maintenance (PdM) activities to maximize equipment reliability and uptime.

• Troubleshoot and repair high-speed production machinery and mechanical systems.

• Diagnose equipment issues and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime.

• Perform required quality inspections to ensure products meet specifications.

• Complete maintenance records production documentation and equipment tracking transactions.

• Assist with machine setup adjustments and operational improvements.

• Collaborate with production maintenance and leadership teams to resolve equipment and process challenges.

• Support Lean Manufacturing continuous improvement initiatives and 5S workplace organization standards.

• Maintain compliance with all safety policies and procedures including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) requirements.

• Prioritize maintenance activities while supporting production goals and performance metrics.

• Cross-train and develop proficiency across multiple manufacturing cells.

• Work overtime as required to support business needs.

What Were Looking For

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma GED or equivalent.

• Ability to read write and communicate effectively in English.

• Ability to work any of a 4 day 7 shift operation schedule.

• Ability to safely perform work in an industrial manufacturing environment.

• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability.

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and contribute within a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Three (3) or more years of industrial maintenance manufacturing military maintenance automotive diesel heavy equipment or related mechanical experience.

• Technical school trade school apprenticeship military technical training or maintenance certification.

• Experience troubleshooting automated manufacturing equipment.

• Experience performing preventive and predictive maintenance.

• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings schematics and technical manuals.

• Experience working with PLC-controlled equipment sensors motors and industrial production systems.

• Experience using precision measurement and inspection tools.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Excel.

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this role employees are frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts vibration elevated temperatures and ammunition manufacturing processes. The work environment may occasionally include exposure to humidity chemicals and varying temperatures. This position requires the use of appropriate personal protective equipment including safety glasses hearing protection and steel-toe footwear. Noise levels within the facility may be high.

Physical Requirements

• Vision correctable to 20/20 including normal color vision depth perception and peripheral vision.

• Ability to repeatedly lift and move up to 35 pounds without assistance.

• Ability to stand walk or sit for extended periods during a 12-hour shift.

• Ability to frequently bend kneel crouch reach and perform mechanical tasks in varying positions.

• Ability to ascend and descend stairs.

• Ability to handle tools equipment and small components requiring manual dexterity.

Pay Range:

The actual annual salary offered to a candidate will be based on variables including experience geographic location education and skills/achievements and will be mutually agreed upon at the time of offer.
