Manufacturing Quotation Specialist

Position Summary

The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for developing implementing and optimizing manufacturing methods processes and systems that improve safety quality delivery and cost performance. This position partners closely with Engineering Operations Quality Supply Chain and HSE teams to support both custom and standard product lines. The role provides technical leadership in manufacturing process development product support fixture/tooling design lean manufacturing initiatives and continuous improvement efforts. The Manufacturing Engineer independently manages projects drives process improvements and supports operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Review RFQs customer drawings specifications and technical requirements.
• Develop accurate cost estimates routings labor standards and material requirements.
• Prepare quotations and support pricing strategies to maintain competitiveness.
• Coordinate with suppliers and internal departments to obtain lead times and costing information.
• Create and maintain BOMs routers and ERP data.
• Evaluate manufacturability and provide recommendations for design improvements and cost reductions.
• Develop manufacturing processes work instructions and tooling requirements.
• Support new product introduction ECNs and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Analyze production issues and implement corrective actions to improve quality and efficiency.
• Support capacity planning and process optimization activities.
• Provide technical support to Operations Purchasing Quality and Sales.
• Participate in root cause analysis Lean manufacturing and cost reduction projects.
• Ensure compliance with company safety quality and regulatory requirements.
• Prepare reports and maintain engineering and quotation documentation.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required. Bachelors degree in engineering or related field preferred.
• 3 years of manufacturing engineering estimating or quotation experience.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office.
• Strong analytical communication and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of machining assembly and manufacturing processes preferred.

• 35 years of experience in manufacturing engineering product development process engineering or a related engineering role within a manufacturing environment.
