Job Summary

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Production Planner to join a well-established manufacturing organization specializing in engineered industrial this role you will be responsible for developing and maintaining production schedules ensuring efficient workflow across manufacturing operations and aligning production output with customer demand and material availability.

This position is ideal for a detail-oriented supply chain professional with strong experience in MRP-driven environments production scheduling and cross-functional coordination.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain production schedules aligned with customer demand and capacity planning
  • Manage Master Production Schedule (MPS) and ensure timely execution of production orders
  • Collaborate with engineering procurement manufacturing and sales teams to align demand forecasts and production plans
  • Monitor production performance metrics and implement corrective actions to improve efficiency
  • Coordinate material requirements with procurement to ensure on-time availability of components
  • Identify capacity constraints and recommend solutions to optimize throughput
  • Support inventory accuracy and production order integrity within MRP systems
  • Participate in production planning meetings and resolve scheduling conflicts proactively
  • Analyze production data to support continuous improvement initiatives

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Business Supply Chain Management Engineering or related field
  • 5 years of experience in Production Planning Material Planning or a similar manufacturing planning role
  • Strong hands-on experience with MRP systems production scheduling and demand forecasting
  • Proven ability to coordinate across multiple departments in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong analytical problem-solving and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel Word Outlook)

Preferred Qualifications

  • APICS certification (CPIM or related)
  • Experience in the discrete manufacturing or engineered products industries
  • Exposure to capacity planning and procurement coordination in complex production environments
