Job Summary

Position Summary:

As a Manufacturing Engineer Intern you will support the engineering team in improving manufacturing processes and ensuring product quality standards are met. You will work closely with senior engineers to assist in various projects related to process optimization troubleshooting and efficiency enhancement in a manufacturing environment.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Assist in analyzing and improving manufacturing processes to optimize production efficiency and quality.
  • Conduct research and provide suggestions for process improvements to reduce waste and increase productivity.
  • Assist in troubleshooting and resolving manufacturing issues related to equipment production lines or processes.
  • Collect analyze and interpret data related to production metrics and process performance.
  • Prepare and maintain technical documentation reports and presentations.
  • Help with the design and development of manufacturing layouts.
  • Support quality control initiatives and ensure adherence to safety and regulatory standards.
  • Participate in root cause analysis of production problems and suggest corrective actions.
  • Provide support in equipment calibration testing and optimization to improve production line reliability.

Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Manufacturing Engineering Mechanical Engineering Aerospace Engineering Industrial Engineering or a related field.
  • Basic knowledge of manufacturing processes techniques and equipment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word Excel PowerPoint).
  • Familiarity with CAD software (e.g. AutoCAD SolidWorks) and other engineering design tools is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Enthusiasm to learn and contribute to engineering projects.

Required Skills:

  • Experience with manufacturing simulations.
  • Basic understanding of lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma.
  • Hands-on experience with machine tools or production equipment (internships projects or coursework).
