Position Summary:
The Manufacturing Engineer Shop Floor / Operations provides day-to-day engineering support to shop floor operations while driving improvements in manufacturing flow productivity and process performance. This role is hands-on and closely aligned to operational execution in a regulated aerospace production environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support daily manufacturing operations by troubleshooting production issues and resolving shop floor process challenges;
- partner with operations planners technicians and quality teams to improve throughput reduce bottlenecks and stabilize execution;
- develop maintain and improve process documentation standard work and manufacturing methods; support non-conformance investigations corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives;
- identify opportunities to improve process flow efficiency and operational discipline across the production environment.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Manufacturing Engineering Mechanical Engineering Aerospace Engineering or a related field;
- hands-on experience supporting shop floor manufacturing operations;
- strong understanding of production processes process control root-cause analysis and problem-solving techniques;
- experience working in a fast-paced highly regulated industrial or aerospace environment;
- strong collaboration and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in aerospace or FAA-regulated manufacturing environments; exposure to lean manufacturing Kaizen or continuous improvement programs; familiarity with production support in environments involving flight hardware.
Compliance Requirement:
- Candidate must be eligible to support work involving flight hardware and meet all applicable screening compliance and site-specific access requirements associated with the role.
Work Arrangement / Engagement Notes:
- This role is primarily shopfloor aligned and expected to be on site. The position may extend beyond the initial engagement period depending on long-term operational demand.
