Analyze product designs to provide critical DFM (Design for Manufacturability) recommendations to engineering and quality teams.
Execute root cause analysis for product defects implementing robust corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
Maintain comprehensive technical documentation including detailed work instructions engineering change records and process flow diagrams.
Collaborate as a primary liaison between engineering quality and manufacturing teams to ensure strict adherence to project timelines and specifications.
Requirements
Education: Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering Manufacturing Engineering or a related technical field preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in a CNC / machine shop environment.
Technical Expertise: Minimum of 2 years in an engineering or technical role within manufacturing featuring proven skills in CNC programming work holding and tool selection.
Software/Tools: Proficiency with 3D CAD platforms and experience utilizing ERP software.
Industry Standards: Practical experience working with quality management systems in accordance with ISO 9001 and standard QC inspection protocols.
Additional Skills: Strong mechanical aptitude with measurement tools hand tools and power tools; knowledge of molding/casting grinding and finishing processes is highly desirable.
