Manufacturing Engineer Machining

As the Manufacturing Engineer you will drive safety quality on-time delivery cost reduction and continuous improvement within an assigned area. This role applies Lean Manufacturing principles and supports production through hands-on problem-solving and cross-functional collaboration.

Specific Responsibilities

• Implement and sustain Lean/continuous improvement principles in the department
• Participate in productivity and cost-reduction efforts to improve process and lower cost
• Develop safe ergonomic processes; work with supervision and maintenance to correct unsafe conditions
• Analyze operations and equipment utilization to maximize quality and output
• Support production builds working closely with Production Supervisors Materials and Design Engineers to resolve issues
• Coordinate new product introductions - partnering with Design Engineering and the production floor establishing shop routes and evaluating capacity needs
• Provide technical support and monitor critical processes
• Provide backup support for department foreman or scheduler as needed
• Support ISO9001 compliance efforts

Requirements

• Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering Industrial Engineering Engineering Technology or a related field
• Solid internship or co-op experience

Preferences

• 1 year of experience as a manufacturing engineer in a production or assembly environment
• Exposure to CNC machining or machine shop environments a plus
