Manufacturing Engineer Lead – Assembly

International is currently searching for a Manufacturing Engineer Lead S13 Assemblyto join our Huntsville Engine Plant.

Schedule:Monday through Thursday: 6:30 AM - 5:00 PM

• Support S13 Diesel Engine Assembly Line in day-to-day production activities to help meet customer product demand
• React to equipment uptime issues and drive towards permanent cost-effective and long-term solutions
• Perform research design and development of manufacturing processes including production flow assembly methods and production equipment
• Standardizes manufacturing processes by benchmarking other facilities manufacturing processes
• Assist in the accomplishment of plant quality and production objectives
• Lead implementation of engineering changes and variations from design specifications as well as new program developments
• Perform product/process analysis for safety/ergonomics quality improvement and improved efficiency
• Initiate develop and pursue capital appropriation projects
• This position is an active on the floor support position which could entail standing for long periods of time

• Bachelors degree and at least 2 years of experience in product manufacturing

OR

• Masters degree and at least 1 year of experience in product manufacturing

OR

• At least 5 years of experience in product manufacturing

• Qualified candidates excluding current employees must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen Legal Permanent Resident Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States. • Strong CAD experience AutoCAD and NX Team Center preferred
• Ability to design and implement 3D printed tools and fixtures
• Familiarity with assembly tools including Atlas Copco DC torque tools Camera Vision Systems AGVs etc.
• Must be proficient in computer usage including MS Office.
• Familiarity with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems etc.
• Familiarity with quality tools and processes including 8D Root Cause Analysis PFMEA etc.
• Must have thorough mechanical understanding of machines tools vehicles and their design
• Ability to travel up to 10%
• Must be able to work well in a dynamic manufacturing environment with positive attitude ethics and International Values
• Must demonstrate advanced reasoning skills problem sensitivity and data analysis
• Must have advanced mathematical skills; be able to use engineering judgment and critical thinking
• Must demonstrate ability to be self-directed
