Join Apple and help us leave the world better than we found it!nnIn this highly visible and hands-on role you will lead Operations Engineering efforts in the development of extraordinary Acoustic modules for some of the highest quality products in the world this role you will bridge the gap between product design and high volume manufacturing by driving design for manufacturing advanced process development automation and on-site problem solving for innovative and state-of-art modules.

You will apply your mechanical manufacturing background in the following areas: nnProcess Development: n Plan propose and lead experiments to produce timely and accurate analyses used to drive design development and supply chain decisions. n Collaborate with Suppliers and Engineering teams in developing the manufacturing and test processes including process flows equipment/fixture designs implementation schedules and validation/maintenance plans. n Use DOEs FMEA and other Industry-standard tools to actively identify and address risks and optimize process parameters. n Develop robust processes for failure analysis and drive continuous improvement. nnNew Product Introduction: n Lead multi-functional activities in the supply chain for overall operational readiness in all NPI phases leading into Mass Production. n Drive process development and capability assessment activities reviewing part design documentation to ensure alignment with process capability. n Lead project technical and operational issues with respect to material process fixtures equipment etc. during the NPI phase to enable delivery of a mature product and manufacturing process into Mass Production.n Assign specific tasks and work with Apple suppliers to support process development and/or data gathering activities. Set clear goals for results and provide timely reviews of performance throughout program. n Establish validation procedures to determine acceptance of tooling into development builds as well as mass production. nnSupplier Execution: n Review supplier equipment and fixture design process flow equipment selection DFM and DOE proposals. n Identify shortfalls and corrective actions to ensure design compliance. n Work with supplier engineering teams to map out process development exercises secure resources and commit to schedules in line with program goals. n Assess supplier readiness to support build events and production ramp. Identify potential execution issues and provide recommendations to mitigate risk. n Evaluate prospective suppliers regarding production capability u0026 quality management. n Lead suppliers by providing technical direction to establish and validate (applying statistical tools) process capability to Apple standards in meeting innovative product designs as well as test and quality requirements. n Establish Quality programs and Manufacturing Process Control Plans for early detection of issues to ensure the highest level of Quality and Reliability is consistently delivered.

1-5 years experience supporting new product launches in a Mechanical Engineering role. nBS Mechanical Engineer MSME MBA a nWilling and able to travel internationally 30%.

Strong Mechanical Engineering fundamentals with good understanding of mechanical design DFM Simulations CAD GDu0026T Failure Analysis DOE SPC and Statistical with complex manufacturing processes including adhesives laser welding winding and fixture/automation designnKnowledge or experience in acoustics speakers is a plusnStrong in the statistical analysis using tools like JMPnAutomation Engineering management Program management and experience working with Contract Manufacturing (CM) is a project management skills working in a global matrix -starter able to work independently with minimal working with international OEMs/ CM.
