PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Support installation integration and startup of new automation and process equipmentthat willimprove batch processing speed reliability quality as well as process and operational safety.
Troubleshoot electrical controls and instrumentation issuesand work with maintenance teamand external contractorsto correct issuesimpactingplant uptime.
Implement safety initiatives and STOP Card projects whichidentifyand correct site or personnel safety hazards.
Provide field support during startups process upsets and abnormal operating conditions.
Modify and troubleshoot basic PLC and HMI systems to support new equipment and process improvements.
Work withvarious contractorsand vendorsduring equipment installation and commissioning.
Support OSHAProcess Safety Management (PSM)elements includingManagement of Change (MOC)Pre-Startup Safety.Review (PSSR) Mechanical IntegrityProcedural creation.
Participate inProcess Hazard Analyses (PHAs/HAZOPs)and implement electrical and control-related safeguards.
Lead electrical root cause analysis and implement permanent corrective actions.
Ensure compliance with NEC and hazardous area classification requirements(Explosion ProofClass1&2Div1&2).
Develop andmaintainelectrical drawings schematics loop diagrams andany associateddocumentationnecessary.
Support electrical scope development for capital and reliability projects.
Lead small to mid-sized electrical and automation projects.
Promotesupportand adhere to all safety environmental and quality related policies and procedures.
QUALIFICATIONSSKILLS&COMPETENCIES:
Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineeringor related field.
5 years of experience in automation of chemical process or industrial manufacturing environments.
Working knowledge of PLCspower and control wiring and industrial electrical systems.
Experience installing newautomation equipment for industrial manufacturing applicationsand integrating into existing manufacturing processes.
Experience supporting operations in a live production environment-specific experience in an electrically rated production environment or Process Safety Management (PSM) facility is a plus.
Experience working with Ignition or Factory Talk software preferred.
Familiarity with OSHA PSM requirements.
Strong troubleshooting and communication skills.
Compensation Information:
The salary for this role is $110000.00 - $130000.00.This is the range that we in good faith anticipate relying on when setting wages for this position. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and this range. This salary range may also be modified in the future.
