Job Summary
Responsibilities:
Provide strategic legal advice to the Wind segment teams.
Lead legal & compliance strategy and direction for the Wind segment in conjunction other internal Counsels and in close coordination with the Wind segment Global Legal & Compliance team
Manage and mitigate legal risks associated with large-scale projects including negotiation drafting execution interpretation and review of complex agreements.
Advise business on new changing and unique regulatory and compliance issues in the region.
Support segment litigation arbitration mediation and dispute resolution.
Manage outside counsel and associated spend.
Advise on a wide range of legal matters.
Develop and implement legal strategies aligned with the business objectives of the Wind segment.
Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including finance sales sourcing projects and operations.
Foster a culture of collaboration innovation solution-oriented thinking and high ethical standards within the Wind segment.
Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications:
Admitted to practice law in at least one US state with 8 years as a practicing attorney
Extensive experience in complex commercial transactions and large-scale project contracts.
Demonstrated ability to provide senior-level legal advice and counsel to executive leadership.
Exceptional communication interpersonal and leadership skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong understanding of Wind industry and regulatory landscapes
- Experience with EPC projects.
- Background in a project-oriented industrial company
- Knowledge of US federal and state regulatory frameworks.
- General understanding of the Inflation Reduction Act including Prevailing Wage Domestic Content and Foreign Entity of Concern (FEOC) requirements
- Hybrid in Houston and will consider remote for those outside of Houston
