Manager, Thin Film Deposition R&D

The Role:

Our site inDanbury CTis seeking aThin Film Deposition R&D Managerto join our team.As a Process Engineering Manager you will lead our Deposition Process R&D team in our Advanced DepositionMaterials businessunit.This group screens new precursors forviabilityand developsnew ALD and CVD processes to deposit films which enable the semiconductor industry. You will work closely with thecustomer-facing applications and marketing teams to introduce new precursor & deposition technologies increaseprocess efficiency and capture broader opportunities in the semiconductor industry.

WhatYoullDo:

• Lead a multi-disciplinary process engineering group.

• Develop and review experimental plans analyze data and findings and generate updates for customerswith recommendations for next steps.

• Create an environment that encourages innovation.

• Coachtrainand develop individuals within the team.

• Keep up to date with the latest depositiontechniques and technologiesutilizingthese to solve industry issues.

• Setobjectives communicate expectations provide directions and priority and drive accountability.

• Developmodify and implement processes and procedures in conjunction with the EH&S teams to drive a culture of safety.

• Develop capital and resource plans to meet business needs for capacity technicalcapabilityand growth.

• Proactivelyidentifyimprovement opportunities and actively work to implement solutions.

• Lead/participatein cross-functional teams with product management engineering quality analytical and safety to resolve customer issues.

• Ensure that the groups research isin line with currentindustry and internalroadmapsultimatelyincreasingpotentialadoption by customers.

What We Seek:

• Minimum of aMasters degree in chemical electricalmechanicalengineeringorchemistry.

• 10 years of experience in ALD orCVDR&D orSemiconductorProcess Engineering.

• 5 years of management experience

• Knowledge of Semiconductor processesand integration

• Experience withutilizingstatistical discovery programsfor design of experiment creation or data analysis (SAS JMP or others)

• Strong leadership skills and ability to motivate and continuously develop a team.

• Ability to influence decisions across multiple layers of the organization.

• Effective communication skillsto support a business unit that serves a worldwide customer base.

OutstandingCandidatesWillHave:

• Experience working in cleanrooms.

• Hands on experience in running ALDtools and developing new deposition processes

• A proventrack recordof developing an effective team.

• Demonstration of ability to achieve and sustain operational excellence.

Compensation: $125000- 160000 per year with actual pay dependent on candidates overall skills for the role
