• Provides operational leadership and oversight for all areas within the operating room post-anesthesia care unit (PACU) anesthesia services and wound care ensuring safe efficient high-quality patient care and services.
• Promotes a culture of collaboration accountability service excellence and continuous improvement that supports patient-centered care and professional nursing practice.
• Partners with physicians nursing leaders educators and interdisciplinary team members to prioritize patient care needs and align departmental operations with organizational goals and strategic initiatives.
• Leads the coordination and delivery of nursing care in accordance with organizational policies regulatory requirements accreditation standards and evidence-based nursing practice.
• Provides leadership coaching and performance management for team members including hiring onboarding staff development performance evaluations employee engagement disciplinary action and recognition activities.
• Responsible for staffing and scheduling oversight to support operational efficiency productivity standards patient throughput and fiscal stewardship.
• Develops and manages departmental operating and capital budgets and supports achievement of financial goals.

Education:

• Bachelors of Science Degree is required

Experience:

• 3 years of perioperative nursing experience is required
• 1 year of previous charge/supervisory experience is preferred

License(s)/Certification(s):

• Current RN Licensure in State of Iowa or applicable compact state. Must be licensed in state of residence.

• Basic Life Support
• Valid drivers license when driving any vehicle for work-related reasons
