Manager, Program Delivery

This position offers the opportunity to join Xylem Decision Intelligence Solutions driven contrarian creative experts in their endeavor to use high tech tools to solve age-old infrastructure problems. This position is responsible for establishing and managing the regional program management team to deliver client projects on time on budget and meeting or exceeding clients expectations.

Essential Duties/Principal Responsibilities:

• Strong commercial understanding of the business with proven ability to translate business strategy into day-to-day delivery

• Natural team player who is committed to leading through collaboration

• Demonstrated technical understanding of engineering as they apply to water wastewater conveyance and treatment systems

• Understanding of Federal state and local laws and regulations as they apply to assigned region; as well as the discernment to understand when to escalate matters to legal for review and advice

• Analyze and make sound recommendations on complex management and administrative issues

• Experience preparing clear concise and comprehensive correspondence reports proposals studies recommendations and other written materials

• Excellent oral presentation skills with clear and logical messaging to internal and external clients

• Proven ability to develop and implement goals objectives policies procedures work standards and management controls

• Proven track record of exercising sound independent judgment within general policy guidelines

• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of management contractors vendors employees and the public

• Ability to exercise tact discretion and diplomacy in dealing with sensitive complex and confidential issues and situations

• Comfortable and successful working under pressure under intensive deadlines competing demands and tasks as well as adaptable to change

• Attract develop coach and hold accountablea team of Project and Program Managers.

• Responsible for delivering revenue and standard margins in the region.

• Drive a culture of continuous improvement setting up standard work processes metrics and tools to help the team work efficiently.

Minimum Qualifications: Education Experience Skills Abilities License/Certification:

• Graduation from a four-year university with a major in engineering or related field

• Minimum of five years of progressively responsible experience in the delivery of complex water and wastewater projects

• At least three years experience working in a management capacity preferred

• Solid engineering background along with strong business acumen

• A certificate of registration as a Professional Engineer issued by the local state/country authority a plus (or the ability to obtain in 12 months)

• Must have previous experience and accountability for cost control and profit targets and managing a budget

• Experience with developing and managing programs scheduling and implementation with ability to plan assign direct and coordinate a variety of functional specialties with overlapping work areas
