POSITION: Manager of Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) and Core Instruction
Exempt position (Grant funded)
LOCATION: Booth Building
SCHEDULE: 260 day work year; 8 hours per day Monday-Friday
SALARY: $127481 to $166550 (2025-2026 salary schedule)based on qualifications and experience

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
- Bachelorsdegree inEducation Business Administration or related field. Masters degree preferred.
- Minimum offive (5) instructional leadership data and assessmentand systemsmonitoringand implementation.
- Valid WA State Teachers certificate; equivalent work experience may act as substitute forteaching certification.
- Knowledge ofinstructionalassessment best practices and comprehensive systems;demonstratedexperience .
- Proficiencywithand/or ability to quickly gainproficiencyinstudent data systems;Demonstratedability to manageand analyzedata accurately.
- Knowledge of and ability to understand andimplementlocal policies and procedures andfederal and statelawsrulesand regulations.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a commitment tocustomer service collaboration andidentifyingsolutions to support positive student outcomes;Ability to think divergently.
- Knowledge and experience in staff development and training.
- Proven record of working cooperatively with district administration and staff.
- Experience working with diverse student population and second language learners.
- Demonstrated ability to use soundprofessionaljudgment meet deadlinesand work well under pressure.
- Successful experience working with English language learners.
- Demonstrated effectiveverbal and writtencommunication skillstodiverse audiences.
- Proficiencywith Microsoft Office product with strongproficiencyin Excel.
- Ability to work with limited supervision produce quality workproduct and actin accordance withexpectations of integrity professionalism and confidentiality.
QUALIFICATIONS DESIRED:

- Successful teaching experience

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- The manager of MTSS and core instruction will assist in the coordination and management of all instructional services. The manager will develop a systematic structure for core instruction interventions and MTSS academic support. The manager will coordinate highly capable services Tier I and Tier II instructional supports for ELA and Literacy instruction social studies & history state program grants. The manager will develop a systematic structure for curriculum and instructional cycles and coordinate instructional coaching needs that support MTSS throughout the district.
SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Matchesevidence-basedcore instruction andinterventions to meet the needs of specific student groups.
- Serves as the primary point of contactprovidingtechnicalassistancetoschools in the implementation of core curriculum.
- Participates in and supportson-goingprocess improvementby providingappropriatematerials training research and analysis for functional areas;Assists in development of procedures and processes for acomprehensive Tier 1 Instructional system.
- Provides training and/or support as neededincluding clock hours and fundamental course of study.
- Serves as liaison between building administratorsinstructional informationstaffand the instructional services department inestablishingacoherent instructional systemdesigned to inform instruction.
- Works with principals to conduct needs assessmentsimplement coreprograms andmonitorthe implementation ofsuch programs.
- Works withfiscal staffprincipalsand staff to ensure all program budgets stay in compliance.
- Provides technical support to principals in the development implementation and progress monitoring ofcore instructionalprograms and interventions.
- Plans and conducts meetings as appropriate.
- Provides literacy content supporthighly capableguidanceand training for staff serving targeted students.
- Coordinates and/or provides professional development to staffthat targetstudent interventions and high yield strategies.
- Conducts research prepares reports analyzesdata and makes recommendations tosupport departmental and district goals.
- Monitorsimplementation of core instructionand supplemental academic support.
- Manages special projects and relateddutiesas assigned bythe Assistant Superintendent or designee.
REPORTS TO:
AssistantSuperintendent of Instructional Servicesordesignee.

Performance of the job will be evaluated annuallyin accordance withprovisionsof the Boards policy on evaluation of all employees.
