Founded in 1910 Dignity Health - Mercy Hospital is a 229-bed acute care nonprofit hospital located in Bakersfield California. Serving nearly 90000 patients annually the hospital offers a full complement of services including Level II NICU cancer care womens health and orthopedics. Mercy Hospital Downtown offers the only inpatient Oncology Unit in Bakersfield while Mercy Hospital Southwest has the only Obstetric Emergency Department in Bakersfield.
Every day you will lead and mentor Registered Nurses oversee clinical operations and advocate for patient and team needs driving professional development and achieving unit goals.

- Schedules nursing staff to specific shifts taking into account past utilization trends. Measures employee performance. Assists in the training of new staff members and the development of existing staff members.
- Coordinates the activities of the unit during a particular shift and directs organizes and assigns work to the nursing staff.
- Assesses monitors and educates the nursing staff on patient care. Institutes emergency procedures as necessary.
- Provides nursing care to patients on an as needed basis.
- Bachelors Of Science Nursing or equivalent education and experience. upon hire and
- Minimum of three (3) years of nursing experience and
- one (1) year of leadership experience.
- Registered Nurse: CA upon hire and
- Basic Life Support - CPR upon hire
