Accredited High School Diploma or equivalent (U.S.A. equivalency); Bachelors degree in a directly related field preferred
Required Valid Texas Drivers License and a record that meets the Districts standard
Five (5) years of directly related experience including two (2) years of supervisory experience
General knowledge of maintenance operations
Knowledge of District policies and procedures
Project management skills
Computer skills ( Microsoft office suite)
Ability to make decision quickly

Oversees the overall operation and activities of Maintenance and Facility Services
Administer District policy and maintenance directives in relationship to disciplinary actions for direct reports
Review and approve requests for purchases of tools equipment and supplies to meet the needs of the District
Completes monthly overtime reports
Visit District sites to monitor maintenance operations ensuring compliance with codes standards regulations and operation instructions
Monitor and enforce district safety regulations
Performs annual employee evaluations
Analyze and resolve work problems and assist department personnel in solving problems
Schedule supervise and monitor related field contractors and subcontracted personnel as needed to accomplish tasks
Keep abreast of and ensure compliance with local state and federal regulations related to Maintenance and Facility activities; advise appropriate personnel of regulation changes affecting the District
Interface with internal and external customers ensuring effective communications regarding status and priority of events
Must be able to work flexible hours
Comply with District policies and procedures
Supports procurement budget and accounting operations
Performs all other tasks and duties as assigned
